An internal review can be started from the Versions Page by using direct Play, Lists, or Reviews.
- Play - This is when you select one or multiple versions and play them back without saving the selection to a list or review.
- List - This is when you select one or multiple versions and save them to a list to refer to any time you need to find that version set and their notes quickly.
- Review - This is similar to a list in that it saves your playlist of versions into a "Review" to refer to whenever needed. However, a Review also lets you Sync a session with other external parties. While initially created as a Client Review function, we recognize how helpful this can be for internal, yet remote, team members.
Please note: Reviews are still commonly labeled as "Client Review" within Studio. As we expand into more remote viewing, we are working to make this feature inclusive for both internal and client reviews. If you would like to learn how to create a Review, please visit: Create and Manage a Client Review |
Using Play - Single Version
To quickly open a single version for review, right-click on the version in the Versions page and select Play. This will open the version in a new tab in the Review Web Player, allowing you to make notes and annotations as needed.

Once you have posted any notes and they appear in the right-hand sidebar of the player in the Feedback tab, you are free to close the browser tab when you are finished.

Using Lists of Versions
Lists are a great way to save a grouping of versions together so they can be referred to later vs. using direct Play, which only holds that version selection while it's open in the player.
To make a list, go to the Versions Page and follow the steps below:
- Select multiple versions using standard hotkey features 'SHIFT + click' to select a sequential group or 'CMD/CTRL + click' to pick and choose specific versions for your group.
-
- SHIFT + click - Select your first version with a single click. Then hold down the SHIFT key and click on the last version of your sequential group to complete the selection.
- CMD/CTRL + click - Hold down CMD (Mac) or CTRL (Win) and click to select the various versions you wish to include in your playgroup.
- Right-click on any selected version and choose Lists > Create from selected.
- Give your List a Name and a Category and click Create.
- Find your new list in the left-hand Project Navigation under the Lists dropdown within the category folder you selected when you created your list (in this example, Department).
- To the right of your new list name, select the dropdown menu and select Play or Play with... to open your list for playback and review.
Viewing your List in the Sidebar
When you double-click on your list name, the list sidebar will open on the right. This gives you quick access to the versions in the list (Content tab), the notes and feedback on the versions (Notes tab), and the ability to Play the list among other helpful features.
