Statuses define the approval steps for objects. Statuses will be used in your workflow schemas, and can be accessed and configured inSystem settings > Workflow > Statuses.
Please note: The order is important since it’s used as approval steps, and will drive the order they are listed in the Status drop-down in the UI. You can drag and drop your statuses in the system settings to re-order them.
Click Create to create a new status and fill in the required information.
Required information:
Color - The color representing this status type.
Name - The name of the status type.
Corresponds to - ftrack has four states that you need to map your statuses to. These are also used when generating reports and charts:
Not Started: to use with any statuses that indicate no work has yet started on a task or object. (ex: "awaiting material", "ready to start")
In Progress: to use with any statuses that indicate work has begun on a task or object. (ex: "pending review", "revision needed", "retake")
Done: to use with any statuses that indicate work has been completed on a task or object. (ex: "completed", "approved", "client approved")
Blocked: to use with any statuses that indicate that a task or object should no longer be worked on. (ex: "on hold", "omitted")
Double-click a row or click the pen icon to edit a status, or click the trash can icon to remove the status.
